Ever tried driving a 50 ton truck up a muddy slope? This Bootneck did, and needed rescuing.
That butt ugly half tank half tug boat thing is really cool. I think this proves that they train for every occasion. The only difference getting a 50(?) tonne truck stuck made was they had to pop and get a mate for 10 mins. There are certain military bodies I can think of where that truck would have stayed there due to lack of knowledge/equipment.A nickname for a Royal Marine, dates back to the days of pirates. Pirates / thieves used to sneak aboard ships and cut the throats of the guard / watch. To prevent this, as they used to wear long boots back then, the men used to cut off the tops of their boots and wear the off cut about their necks preventing a sliced open throat. Hope this goes a little way to helping you out. No doubt some American will say it was their idea, they normally try to nick them
